Michael Schindlmeier studied stage design and scenography at the Technical University Berlin and architecture at the OTH Regensburg.
His collaborations as production designer for short films were shown and won prices at film festivals such as Max Ophüls, Achtung Berlin, Filmfest Dresden, First Steps, Goldener Spatz, International Film Festival Rotterdam and the German Short Film Award.
His work for the film "Lychen92" was awarded the Prize for the best production design 2020 by Medium-Length International Film Festival LA CABINA, Valencia.
His collaborations for feature films were shown at film festivals such as Hofer Filmtage, Filmfest München and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
His work for the film "Servus Papa - See you in Hell" was awarded for the Official Selection Competition Award for Best Production Design 2022 by Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
He works as freelance production designer and lives in Berlin.
